In 2020, I was invited to give a talk at the Nasher Sculpture Center on an artwork that was on view during the Pandemic. The talk was livestreamed since the museum was closed to the public.  I chose Rearrangeable Rainbow Blocks, 1965 by Judy Chicago.  The work was made at the beginning of Minimalism, a period I was very interested in with the project After 10, but here was color! movement! the body!  I made little scraps of handmade paper with words and artists who share something with the work.  The words were all spelled with letters from the title of the artwork.  I got down on the floor to look at the piece, planted four flags before the talk (Red for Workers, Blue for the Earth, Black for Anarchy, White for Peace), wore a mask, rambled for an hour (I hope you can’t find it online).
